   Composition Strand of the Conference\: \n\nComposition\, Rhetoric\, 
 and Grammar\: Exploring New Regions \n\ndeadline for all proposals\: O
 ctober15\, 2005. \n\n  \n\nAs coordinator for the Composition sections
  at the national College English Association conference\, I am interes
 ted in receiving proposals for individual or panel presentations which
  address new approaches to teaching composition\, rhetoric\, and/or gr
 ammar. Possible themes include\: the death of Freshman English\; the r
 ole of imaginative literature in a composition course\; new approaches
  to teaching grammar\; college writing programs\; composition classes 
 and service learning\; evaluating student texts\; teaching visual rhet
 oric\; new regions to explore in advanced composition and technical wr
 iting\; writing centers and the teaching of writing/editing. \n\n  \n\
 nProposals should include the following\: \n\nname \n\ninstitutional a
 ffiliation (if applicable) \n\nmailing address (include zip code) \n\n
 phone number and E-mail address \n\ntitle of the proposed presentation
  \n\nabstract of no more than 500 words \n\na-v equipment needs\, if a
 ny \n\nspecial needs\, if any \n\n  \n\nProposals may be submitted by 
 post\, fax\, or E-mail (include abstract in message body) \n\nIf you a
 re proposing a panel\, the panel organizer should include the above in
 formation for all proposed participants. \n\nCEA limits presentations 
 to 15 minutes\; panels to 75 minutes (with 3 ro 4 presenters to a pane
 l) \n\nAll presenters must join CEA by Jan 1\, 2006\, to appear on the
  program. No one may read more than one paper at the conference. \n\nI
